I was just wondering if anyone knew a way to get from Perth Train station to a beach with decent waves, such as Trigg. Keeping this in mind, I do not have transport therefore I am seeking ways via Train, Buses, and/or walking as well as any other cheap alternatives of transport. Please take into account that I AM carrying a surfboard with me... It's size is 6'10", and I'd like to know the quickest/cheapest way possible.
I do currently have ways of getting to the beach without problems, but I would just like to know if there is any possible ways that involve these things. All questions are welcomed, I'd be glad to answer any queries you may have.

Cottesloe beach is decent surfing and it isn't too far from the train station. I aren't sure how far you could comfortably walk with a surf board, but I reckon it would only take 5 - 10 minutes walk from the train station. You can surf at Leighton Beach, but I think the surf can be a bit hit and miss. Leightons is about 800m from North Freo train station.
I have heard that there is a bus that goes to Scarborough that you can take surfboards on. I had a quick look on the website but can't see anything, maybe try giving transperth a call on 13 62 13.

taxi from Bilbao to Biarritz?
Does anyone know if there's a fast, cheap way to travel from Bilbao (spain) to Biarritz (France) late at night.
My flight arrives at 10.30pm, so if anyone knows of a late night bus or train servivce, that would be ideal.
Or even the names of the train or bus operators and their website?
Alternatively, dos anyone know how much a taxi would be likely to cost?
We'll have surfboards with us, so taxis would probably not be the best way for us

Well, considering that the distance between those two cities is 148 kilometers (roughly 92 miles), the cost of taking a cab is probably rather steep. Moreover, I've never heard of cabbies taking passengers across international borders. I know that there's train service from the Spanish city of Irun (right on the border with France) to Biarritz. If there's train service from Bilbao to Irun, that would probably be your best option.
