beginner kiteboarding?
im looking to get into the sport and was wondering if this package were a good deal.. http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/6977706 besides the trainer kite and lessons etc.... should i go big and buy something like this? i will be kiteboarding lower vancouver island

Actually, the ad should read, "Everything you need to start kitesurfing, except a wetsuit AND LESSONS." You really need to take lessons from a qualified instructor if you're thinking about kitesurfing, because if you don't know the safety features of your kite and your gear, you could get into some serious trouble. Harnessing a lot of wind with a 10 meter kite and no experience is not good.
Also, if you take a lesson (or two, or three), you'll be able to figure out if it's worth it for you to buy the gear. What if you try it and find out that kitesurfing isn't for you? Then you'll have to find someone else to buy your old equipment.

Anyone know some good Kiteboarding stores??
I live in Illinois but I went up to Michigan and saw some family and they tought us how to use the trainer kite. My aunt was going to get me one for my birthday but there was none. I was wondering if there were any Kiteboarding stores that are close to the middle of Illinois........?
Well if you happen to go to charleston, sc sometime there's a store called air or something like that and it is the place for kiteboarding. Google it or something.
