lost rocket surfboard question?
ok i have another question about this board (rocket mayhem shape). I'm 5'6 and im 16 still prob growing ...My local surfshop that I go to just got them in they recommended a 6'2 cuz i had a 7' australia before and i really want a shortboard and to go smaller but when they got them in the only got 6'0 do u think thats a good size anyway? I want this board to last me and another surf shop down the road has it in a 6'2 should i go with the 6'2? im thinking yes?
-do pros ride this shape? if so do u no of any ?
-example john john florence, kolohe andino, koa smith?
-can you compete with this board?
-and is it a good board to do tricks on?
I read reviews on it and stuff but what do u think???

To be perfectly honest, if they are both the same width and thickness, and it is going to be a learning experience for you switching to a short board, two inches in length just doesn't make that much difference. But, if you are growing, the extra two inches might be a tiny little bit of volume that you will appreciate later. Remember, it is your weight that is important, not how tall you are. Lost makes a nice stick, and the guys in the shops have steered you right. Buy the one with the neatest design on it or the cheaper of the two.
Don't worry about what the "pros ride", worry abou what you ride and can get the most out of. You aren't a pro. Don't ever buy ANY type of board because some pro rides it, buy what is right for you and the type of waves you surf.
You can compete on any board, it all depends on how good you are as to how successful you are.
Lost makes nice sticks. I prefer boards made by local shapers, but all of you big name, good quality manufacturers are certainly worth owning. I have a Lost SDII. It's not my favorite, but its a nice board.
