Why people say the Saints are a losing team while other teams in the NFL like the Steelers where a losing team

People and the media always say that the Saints where always a losing team despite tham makin' the playoffs back in 87, 88, 89, 91, 92, 2000, and 06. Plus a few winning seasons with head coach Jim Hasslet from 2002-04(missed the playoffs due to tiebreakers). And when the Saints went to the playoffs in 06-07 people kept sayin' they were a losing team like they haven't seen a team turned around from losers to winners before. But in that case, they need to start lookin' back at teams the had losin' seasons before they had hit SuperBowl status like the Steelers, they were losers from 1933(the beginning of when they were first introduced) to1969 until Chuck Noll came in and turned things around in 1970. Then you have the Buccaneers although they did go to the playoffs from 79-82 they were losers as well until Tony Dungy came in 96 and turned things around. So why they don't the media and NFL fans look at history before they jump to conclusions.

The Steelers have had some terrible seasons from 1933-1970. However for the last 36 years the Steelers are one of the most winning-est franchisees in the NFL. The Steelers were a lossing franchises but not anymore. But they have changed that idea by having 26 winning seasons since 1972. Also winning 5 championships changes the thought of being a losing team. The Steelers have a career record of 497 - 479 - 20. The Saints have a record of 247 - 358 - 5. Comparing the Saints to the Buccaneers is valid. Tampa Bay has just as bad of a all-time record as the Saints have. But Tampa Bay does have a Championship. If New Orleans would of won a Super Bowl they would not be considered as "losers".
