Quad Surfboard Fins
why duel over quad surfboard?
ive got a sweet 6'0 5fin surfboard and im surfin on florida waves (so like 5ft max), and i use the quad fin settup for it.
some people have told me i should try out duel fin with it but im not sure why i would want that.
can anyone briefly tell me the difference?

Stick with the quad. twin fins are a bit tougher to turn and depending on your tail shape, may tend to side slip. If you have to ask a question like this in YA instead of discussing it with the guys in local shops, or the guys who you surf with, you probably lack the experience to feel comfortable with a twinny. I have surfed twins since the early 70s, and just started surfing a quad. The quad is just as fast down the line, and neither of them turn quite as quickly as a single fin or thruster set up.
