Hey my friend gets an e-mail that lets him know when swells are coming through. I am a fla surfer so i need it for the east and west coast. does anyone know where i can sign up for the e-mail?
he wont tell me, and i know he doesnt pay for it.
Surfline has a free surf alert email system. It will also send a weekly forecast for your region, although it is not super detailed.
There may also be some other subscription services in Florida. Dig around on surfguru and see if you can find one.

What is Couch Surfing? Part 1 'Hosting'
southern california: venice beach question!!! PLEASE help!!!?
ok so not long ago i was walking in venice beach and there were some guys there selling artwork- photos of the hollywood sign, surfers, etc. they were also triptychs, or three photos kind of in sequence... well im looking for the 3 photo sequence ones of beach scenes and i cant find them anywhere online, google, ebay.... if ANYONE knows what im talking about please let me know where i can find them online. i wont be back to venice for months and i need to get this as a gift for xmas. THANKS!!
they looked like replicated prints, nothing original. but maybe they are? there were soo many of them i feel like they have to be somewhere online...
If anyone doubts the uniqueness of Venice Beach, this is a perfect example. Sad to say, this falls under the "Costco Rule": If you see something you like, snag it. You may not get another chance to get that item again. We get this question from time to time in here for a variety of items. I believe the last one was a California Bear Flag Towel.
Sadly, the answer is the same: Those items at Venice are very unique, not available anywhere else. These artists are gathered in this one place, unlike anywhere else. People generalize and think everyone in LA is like this, giving rise to phrases like "The land of fruits and nuts", and "LA LA Land". Anyway, I'm sorry to say that you probably won't find these out there, since most of the folks in Venice have no Internet presence.
