    I would suggest a crazy quilt for this. You can google more specific instructions, but you cut the fabric and it doesn't need to be perfectly squared as you would for blocks, and just start sewing. Your pieces don't need to be the same size, and you can focus on certain areas of the cloth or not. And it's easy and fun, so you can't make mistakes with it. Like with a blocked quilt where you need to have all your seams match.
